Startup World Cup Austria 2026

Description

The Startup World Cup, hosted by Pegasus Tech Ventures, is the largest startup competition worldwide, with more than 70 countries taking part every year. 2021 the Austrian Angel Investors Association (now: invest.austria) and Austrian Startups brought the competition to Austria for the first time.

After a series of regional pre events across Austria, the winning startups compete on the final stage in Vienna, pitching for the chance to represent Austria at the global Startup World Cup Finals in Silicon Valley.

The finale program features a fireside chat with international ecosystem leaders, followed by the final pitch competition, where selected startups present their vision in front of a high level jury of industry experts and investors. Each pitch is evaluated based on idea, market relevance, traction, competitive advantage, team and overall pitch performance.

The winning startup of the Austrian finals earns the opportunity to pitch at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in San Francisco, with the chance to secure up to USD 1 million in investment from Pegasus Tech Ventures, along with global exposure, investor access and partner prizes.
